We are Brock Carmichael
For over 46 years Brock Carmichael has been delivering value and business success for clients, based on tried and tested architectural principles. We pride ourselves on our honest, transparent culture, one where everyone has a voice. We encourage collaboration and design innovation to develop solutions.
Our founders
Peter Ian William Carmichael and David Le Marchant Brock founded the practice in 1974. From the offset they worked on various landmark projects that are still the beating heart of Liverpool.
Their design values and practice ethics still run with us today.

Our approach
We’re a proud Liverpool practice of 27 people with a visible presence in the city we call home, and a tireless commitment to excellence. Expertise in residential, education, leisure and regeneration has allowed us to lead the industry on a regional North-West level, and succeed in a range of other locations across the country.
Central to our approach is close collaboration with our clients so that, from the very first briefing, we have a clear idea of their needs, concerns and aspirations for the project – regardless of size or function.

Our company culture is a positive one, one that benefits not just employees but clients too. We're Investors in People accredited with a focus on personal development and fostering creativity.

We have an internal wellbeing group that ensures the office is both healthy and happy. The group works on sustainability, topical CPDs, internal fitness events, nutritional advice and more.

In 2011 Brock Carmichael established a local presence in Hong Kong and formed a joint venture vehicle called the Octagon Partnership, this operates throughout China from locations in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
